Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare and Library Development (RSSWLD) came into existence in 2009 with an aim to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge and information at the grass root level by setting up libraries in the rural areas. The society’s primary goal is intellectual development of the underprivileged sections of society so that they can avail competitive employment opportunities and lead a dignified social existence. Millions of underprivileged children in India are deprived of their basic rights. They are unable to complete their education, are subjected to abuse, and forced into labor at a tender age. Life in Jails is really very difficult and libraries in jail help to make the foundation of rehabilitation of the prisoners when they are back in society.
RSSWLD wish to extend its activities to every part of the country.
